K-pop By Color
K-pop, organized by the hyper-specific kind of categorizing that makes up my playlists. Don’t take it too seriously and have a nice laugh (and listen) with me. Enjoy the chaos!

Upbeat disco and synth that drags you onto the dance floor, whether you think you want to be there or not. Think Catallena by Orange Caramel, Mago by Gfriend, or Figaro by 9Muses. Or, think Man I Feel Like A Woman by Shania Twain, Die Young by Kesha, or Hot To Go by Chappell Roan.

Cathartic, powerful, and undeniably fiery. Lots of rock, charging synths, and trap-pop here. Think Heroine by Sunmi, Shoot Me by Day6, or What by Dreamcatcher. Or, think I Love Rock & Roll by Joan Jett, Lose Yourself by Eminem, or Living Loving Maid by Led Zeppelin.

Ethereal, ruminating, the kind of nostalgic that has you deep in your feelings. And the crucial piece: just a little bit weird. Think Goblin by Sulli, Child by Mark, or Snooze by Lucy. Or, think Norman F**king Rockwell by Lana Del Rey, American Teenager by Ethel Cain, or The Albatross by Taylor Swift.

Blue: Reminisce On A Night Drive
Moody, synthy, and totally giving crying-on-the-dancefloor. Looking back on the past, with all the pain and terrible decisions that that entails, but with bops. Think Chasing That Feeling by TXT, Crossroads by Gfriend, or Feel Me by Golden Child. Or, think Perfect by One Direction, Nothing Matters by The Last Dinner Party, or Green Light by Lorde.

Purple: Be A Queer Movie Villain
Sultry, confident, and absolutely some form of LGBTQ+. There’s some kind of seduction going on and it’s probably evil. But at least it’s fun! Think Guilty by Taemin, Don’t Look At Me Like That by Song Jieun, or Lovers In The Night by Seori. Or, think Boyfriend by Dove Cameron, Dress by Taylor Swift, or Francesca by Hozier.

Heartfelt, sappy, and super pink. This is the time to call your childhood best friend and go to Target at 1 am. Think Super Yuppers by WJSN Chocome, FAM by Stray Kids, or Forever 1 by SNSD. Or, think Shout Out To My Ex by Little Mix, London Boy by Taylor Swift, or Firework by Katy Perry.

Black: Find A Shoulder To Sob On
Woeful, melancholy, and moving. They’ll break your heart and (if you’re lucky) put it back together again. Think Our Page by SHINee, Spring Day by BTS, or Zombie by Day6. Or, think River by Joni Mitchell, Let Me Drown by Orville Peck, or Epiphany by Taylor Swift.

Brown: Roadtrip With Thelma & Louise
Dusty and bluesy, with just an edge of danger. Two cowboys meeting at high noon for a duel, only to get interrupted by the apocalypse. Think March by Seventeen, Run For Roses by NMIXX, or Hann by (G)I-DLE. Or, think In Hell I’ll Be In Good Company by The Dead South, Gloria by The Lumineers, or Daytona Sand by Orville Peck.
