Favorite Artists
These are my favorites, some since the beginning, some brand new, but all loved and unique. From an angsty rock band to the bubbliest bubblegum to ever grace a stage, they’ve taught me that the language of a great song isn’t as important as I once thought. My Top 3 of all-time are Dreamcatcher, SHINee, and (G)I-DLE.

Top 5:
Dreamcatcher

I’m a HUGE fan of Dreamcatcher, and have been an Insomnia since mid-2021 or so, just after the release of BEcause. They were actually the first concert I’ve ever been to, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for that. They totally gave their all for those two hours and I ended up loving them even more afterward. I’m even considering going again if they have another tour.
SHINee

I’m a ShaWol, absolutely, and have been since 2020. But more deeply, finding SHINee was really the final step that made me the k-pop fan (and blogger) that I am today. I was a casual fan already, through first Blackpink and then Red Velvet, but SHINee was the first group I full-on stanned. I love all the members individually, Jonghyun especially, but together? They may just be my favorite k-pop group of all time.
Red Velvet

Red Velvet was the first k-pop group I ever loved, even though Blackpink was really my introduction. I became a ReVeLuv in 2019, because of Russian Roulette, and I’ve been a fan since. I feel like I fall back in love every time they come back.
(G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE is one of very few self-produced groups, and even fewer self-produced girl groups. Their talent and tenacity and their bravery for speaking up on social issues made me a Neverland, and I don’t see that ever changing.
Sunmi

I’ve loved Sunmi for a while, and my review only made me love her more. I had no idea until then that she writes her own songs, and her focus on mental health and openness about her own struggles really moved me.
10-6:
Gfriend

I’ve been a Buddy since I stumbled across MAGO in a compilation in 2020 or so, and needless to say I was crushed to find out that they disbanded. I still consider myself a Buddy, and in the last few years, I’ve listened to all their title tracks and a decent amount of b-sides. Still hoping for a reunion!
Stray Kids

I’ve been a k-pop fan since early 2019, and Stray Kids were one of the first groups I knew and started liking. Similarly to Red Velvet, I come back to them whenever I feel a little homesick.
Le Sserafim

I’m going to be completely honest here and say I didn’t expect to like Le Sserafim. But they surprised me. Through my review, I truly grew to admire them, and after watching their documentary and admittedly tearing up a couple times, I became a genuine fan. So, thank you Le Sserafim. You proved me wrong.
TWICE

I’ve always liked TWICE, but I had so much fun doing their review and I found myself just feeling very happy after I was done, and I relisten to them every time I need a pick-me-up.
ATEEZ

Similarly to NCT Dream, I was a casual fan and gradually became more invested after doing a review. Now I’m going to see them in concert this year as a full-blown ATINY!

I knew nothing about BoyNextDoor before my review, but they won me over during my review, and I can’t remember the last time I laughed as hard as I did when I watched them.
