I’m guessing that a lot of people are going to guess I’d say something to do with music—-singer, blogger, reviewer, etc—considering how I currently spend a lot of my free time. But they’d be wrong. It’s true I’ve always loved music, and if I had to spend a day without listening to it, I might spontaneously combust, but I have another great love: history, and right now, I’m going to school to become a history professor.
If you think about it, history and music have always been linked. I’m a linguistics nerd too, which is part of how I started learning Korean, and how I became a kpop fan. (If you’d like to learn the details of that journey, click here). It may sound a bit pretentious, but I like to think that this blog is about all of those things, helping a mostly non-Korean audience learn more about the country and the idols behind the music they love. It’s certainly helped me, and I hope it can help you too.
Thanks for reading! If you’re new to this blog, please come and check us out! Tschüss!!
