Favorite Idols: Gen 3
Though I have another page with my favorite groups and bias list, I thought it might be fun to write down my favorite idols themselves and explain why I feel more of a connection to them. This is Generation 3. Let me know your favorite idols in the comments!

Male Idols:
Haechan (NCT)

One of the most dramatic idols I’ve ever seen, which is high praise coming from me. He’s hilarious, and also a ray of sunshine, and I think that often overshadows the fact that he has one of the best voices in the industry.
Woosung (The Rose)

A fantastic guitar player with a unique voice and an engaging entertainer when I had the pleasure to see him live. Refreshingly honest and laidback, and a great writer.
Mark (NCT)

My other bias in NCT, who also has a great sense of humor, but more than that, does such a good job at acting like an everyday person you’d meet that sometimes I genuinely forget that he’s an idol and not just a YouTuber.
Jimin (BTS)

Not only does Jimin have what’s probably one of the best voices in kpop, he’s also in what’s arguably one of the best bands: BTS. And besides that, his stage pretense and his comedic timing are on another level—and he even made me like Dynamite, damn him.
Jae Park / eaJ (ex-Day6)

Jae has always been my favorite member of Day6, and to be honest, I was so sad when he left. He’s always struck me as so warm and genuine, and even despite his missteps, he’s shown so much growth that it makes me proud to call myself a fan.
Minghao (Seventeen)

This is my bias talking, but I feel like Minghao is under appreciated in Seventeen. Not only does he have a great voice, but he’s a stunning dancer, and he created one of my all time favorite songs, Hai Cheng, the first Chinese song I learned on piano.
Chenle (NCT Dream)

Chenle is a fairly new addition to this list, but I’m sure that no fan will be surprised when I say that it’s his laugh that landed him here. I mean, there’s just no beating the look on his face when he bursts into shrieking dolphin cackles, and there’s no beating his voice either.

Female Idols:
Yoohyeon (Dreamcatcher)

When I saw DC live, Yoohyeon did most of the talking, and I was so impressed with both her humor and her English. Plus, she’s learning German. I mean, as if I couldn’t love her more.
Rosé (BLACKPINK)

Ah, my first ever bias. I may not be a Blink anymore, but Rosé will always have a special place in my heart. She’s so talented, and I’ve never heard a voice quite like hers.
Wendy (Red Velvet)

One of my first biases, whose voice caught my ear right from the start. In my opinion, still one of the most talented vocalists in the industry, and the singer of one of my Top 10 tracks.
YooA (Oh My Girl)

While I do love OMG, it’s actually YooA’s solo career that made her a favorite of mine. I watched her on Running Girls and her bubbly personality and determination really won me over.
Jihyo (TWICE)

When looking at TWICE, it’s hard not to be completely captivated by Jihyo’s stage presence; she has a brand of confidence that’s so rare in an industry based on such young performances, not to mention her incredible voice and tone.
Eunha (Gfriend)

Gfriend, Gfriend, I miss you SO much. Eunha’s been my favorite since she catwalked her way into my life in 3-inch heels in Mago. Just like me, she suffered from an autoimmune disorder as a kid, and seeing where she is now just makes me so proud.
JiU (Dreamcatcher)

My other DC bias, who not only is the star of my favorite of their music videos, Deja Vu, but, when I saw them live, was the person who jumped up and down waving a pride flag during their encore, which may have been the best moment of the night.
Kim Sejeong (Gugudan)

Both an idol (soloist and ex-member of Gugudan) and an actress in shows like Business Proposal, Sejeong has a fantastic voice and I’m so looking forward to her next album.
