My personal favorite reviews; either the most meaningful, most emotional, or just the most fun! If you want a place to discover who I am and what I’m about, there’s no better place than here. Welcome!

Yesung Deep Dive: A (Somewhat) Accidental Review By A K-pop Stan And Her Mom
My first ever review to reach 100 views and still my most viewed of all time. As the title suggests, this came about mostly by accident, and with my mother by my side, I had such a great time. To this day, Yesung is one of my favorite soloists.

Dreamcatcher Deep Dive #1/3: Speaking Up And Breaking The Wall
Both the first group I really fell head-over-heels for and the first concert I ever went to, Dreamcatcher’s powerful messages, incredible talents, and kick-ass songs still rank among my ult groups.

ATEEZ: Break The Wall Concert Review
One of the most memorable concert experiences of my life, ATEEZ’s NYC show was almost canceled by a hurricane, but they still performed a fantastic set, and made fans out of both me and my father (who offered his comments as well).

Sunmi Deep Dive: Juggling Mental Health And Stardom
A rarity in the kpop industry for her unique voice, outspokenness, and willingness to cover difficult topics, Sunmi may not have the largest discography but she makes every song count and every song hit home with someone.

TWICE Deep Dive #4/4: From Naive Kids To Fully Realized Idols
Perhaps the most “k-poppy” k-pop group to ever k-pop, TWICE’s bubbly, effervescent sound is sometimes just what you need—and was just what I needed when I did my review. They never fail to bring a smile to my face, and funnily enough, they debuted on my birthday, Oct 20th!

SHINee Deep Dive #3/3: The “Princes Of K-pop” Return
If I had to pick one (which I won’t), SHINee is my favorite k-pop group of all time. Not only do I love their work together but I love all their solo work too, and after almost two decades together, I find immense pride in the fact that they’re stronger than ever.

Lucy Deep Dive: K-pop With A Violin?
I knew nothing about Lucy when I first wrote this review, but after I became a fan, I had a wonderful experience re-writing it with my father, who’s both an avid classical music enjoyer and a violist (he’s very good, not that he’ll admit it), and so, like Yesung’s with my mom, it’s very special to me.

Jonghyun Deep Dive: A Tribute To The Greatest Writer K-pop’s Ever Known
If you’ve been on the blog a while, you’ll known I can get pretty emotional about it, and never have I cried more doing a review than with Jonghyun’s. Not only is he my favorite idol of all time, but getting the chance to read his book, to truly appreciate his lyricism, and to learn more about who he was is something I’ll never forget. I republish it every Dec. 18th as my last post before I go on my break.

Super Junior Deep Dive #1/4: A (Mostly Intentional) Review By A K-pop Stan And Her Mom
A “sequel” if you will, to my Yesung review with my mother, this deep dive into Super Junior may be the most I have ever laughed; I’m shocked I didn’t break a rib. It turned both me and my mom into E.L.F.s, but let’s just say it was quite a process to get there.
