K-pop Recommendations: Electronic
Bizarre, unnerving, and always a bit fun, off-beat and maybe a bit funky, or loud, dissonant, and chaotic, electronic is, well…not like anything that came before it. Think Goblin by Sulli, Gingamingayo by Billlie, or Simon Says by NCT 127.

Groups:

Description: One of the most popular k-pop groups of the fourth generation (and in general), Stray Kids have made their name both for being self-produced and for their hard-hitting tracks. They mainly stick in the EDM field, but also add in hip-hop and rock.

Description: I’m going to be completely honest here and say that NCT 127 isn’t for me. But a lot of people really enjoy their music, which is bombastic, in-your-face, and, to their credit, impossible to look away from. It’s also very experimental, for better or for worse; you never know what you’ll get.

Description: Dubbed the inventor of “Sunmi-pop”, Sunmi was formerly in Wonder Girls before making her name as a soloist, and since then, she’s been known for her synthy sound and honest lyrics. Her music doesn’t pull its punches; the beats may be smooth, but her delivery is razor-shop.
